Monster Madness

If you will remember a few posts back, I mentioned that I was attempting to make a few more toys for Christmas this year, even though I haven't had much success in the past. A few worked out and a few didn't turn out quite as I would have liked. Here is one that I really liked:
I found the tutorial here quite a while ago and wanted to try it. Embroidery is something I don't seem to have a knack for and don't really have the desire to work at it. But, this one was simple enough, even I couldn't ruin it too bad.

The red little guy is for my nephew and the "Princess Monster" is all K2. K2 is 5, but missed the deadline for school this year. Needless to say, she gets a little bored being at home all day with me and the babe. This Christmas I let her help me make Christmas gifts for her sisters and cousins to fill some time. She is actually quite patient and meticulous-- and very girly! She picked out all the lace and ribbon for the "Princess Monster".

These little guys are fun (and a great way to use up those ribbon scraps), but a little tricky to sew together with all those ribbons in between your layers. Lots of pins-- that is all I can say.

They are very cute...and I'm glad it's ribbon and lace, because they look like if they were spikes or thorns...very scary indeed.

Enjoy your lil' helper for as long as you can have her home with you!

Happy New Year!

Those are great! I'm not sure I would have the patience to work with all those layers of ribbons, but I'm glad you did because the monsters turned out wonderfully!

It is so interesting I was searching for this topic for a long time. I read this article very carefully and now I got all my best information for writing a blog on wholesale dog clothes manufacturers. I am so glad that I finally find a blog resemblance to my topic. Thanks for this.
