Anyway, the first gift I want to share was for my mother-in-law.
A quilted calendar! Isn't this the cutest idea ever? I wish I could take credit for it, but I got the idea from i heart linen, who just recently released her first book. And I believe it has the pattern for her calendar in it. Check it out here.
I didn't use the pattern, just sort of made it up as I went along. It was so much fun-- and it was my first trial with printing on paper. Definitely one of my favorite new techniques. Did you learn anything from your Christmas projects?

Isn't this a greaat idea for a calender. Love it!
That is very clever....
Very cute.
I love your calendar. It looks wonderful! For this Christmas I made two projects. One was a knitted shawl for my boyfriend's mother. Fortunately she loved it. The second project was a fake brick chimney where we placed all of our gifts. My dog pees on the floor so Santa couldn't put all the gifts under the tree. Instead, I made a chimney using a big cardboard box, red paint, a rectangular sponge and cotton for pretend snow. It came out awesome!
Love your calendar! Sew cute and creative!
I made doll quilts, people quilts, friendship bags and that's about it! LOL
Happy, Happy New Year!
