Baptism Dress

so, what's the deal with photobucket these days?  anyone have any more info than i have?

okay, whatever.

i am trying to fix it so that i actually have some photos on my blog. . .

until then, i guess i will have to load pictures the old-fashioned way.

anyway. . .

back to the real content of today's post. . .

The Nauvoo Dress

i have decided to hold out on you no longer!

i am sharing the original baptism dress and pattern right here, right now, for everyone!

Baptism Dress

i know some of you have been waiting

FOR.EV.ER

for this.

Baptism Dress

i am sorry it has taken me so long to share.  i promise i was not trying to be mean.  i just wanted it perfect and it wasn't and so i was frustrated and avoiding it and, well, you get the picture.

so, here is how it works.  there are two documents for you to download and print.  the first is the instructions  (click here), and the pattern pieces  (click here).  the only size i have available right now is a size 8.  perhaps, someday. . . but no promises!  ;0)

for the sash, you can find the free pattern here.  just download it, and use the longest, widest size available in the pattern.

if you have any questions, i would be happy to help.  my email is leiselp@gmail.com

thanks everyone!  enjoy

This dress is BEAUTIFUL. Really so great---and I love the little bits of color with the tulle slip and the sash. I bet your girl feels like a princess in it.

Oh I love this. My daughter has already been baptized but I will still be making this for her to wear any way! Thanks for the pattern. I also featured this at So Very Creative, you can grab a button if you would like.

Wow! Just WOW! I have been looking for a dress for my daughter and she would LOVE this! You don't happen to know someone that would be willing to make it and sell it to me, do you?

Yay!!!! I have been waiting for this pattern. It is perfect timing because my girl actually wears an 8 now. If o work really hard I might be able to get a version done for her Halloween costume (fairy queen). I say a version because I am thinking one for Christmas would be great also. Thank you so much for this. I cannot imagine how long it took you to get this together.

I've always loved this dress, thank you so much for the tutorial and pattern! It's gorgeous. I have one getting baptised next summer and she loves this dress so I may have to make her a version of it.

Oh thank you! I found this dress just before my oldest got baptized and was really wishing there were instructions for it. My second is getting baptized next month and I thought I would search to see if there were instructions for the dress yet. I can't even tell you how thrilled I am to find this page today! I'll be busy sewing for the next little while. Thanks again!

Your flower girl may be the smallest member of your bridal party, but there’s no reason she can’t make a big statement. With a little careful planning, your flower girl can be comfortable, cute, and stylish.
