hello, my name is leisel. . . and i have an addiction

do you see this?  are any of you this crazy?

that is 28 yards of fabric.  all from one shopping trip.

but it was only $50 for all that. . .  never mind that the $50 was for groceries.  and never mind that i have a whole room FULL of fabric to the point that i can't walk into the room.

and THAT, my friends, is the definition of an addiction.

I had to laugh at this! I am just as bad, I buy fabric and my hubby asks do you need that? I just smile and say it isn't a matter of need, I will be able to use it, someday, in the future, I hope. :) Great buy!

All I see is a fabulous deal! I guess that explains why I have the same problem :)

I hear you. And I can't go into Costco for the same reason. I leave with "stuff" and no groceries.

I can help you out with your addiction, just send some fabric over to my place and problem solved! ;) ......I have a closet full of fabric and I keep buying more too!

Bargains are bargains, and you can always 'pass it on' to a group or person who sews for a charity. I am always on the lookout for super sales ( once bought 25 spools of thread @ 10 cents each) to make things for charity. You can feel good 'cause you saved a lot of money, and 'cause you gave it to a good purpose - double blessing!-D

I just bought about the same amount of fabric for $23. I bought it from the thrift store so I feel compelled to buy when I see a fabric I like that is inexpensive ($1.oo a yard or so).

Do you go with something in mind or just buy whatever fancies you at the moment and figure it out later? I think you have a fabulous addiction!!

Where in Blazes do you find fabric that cheap?

Awesome. Did those by chance come from Hancock's Fabric? If so, I have the pink striped knit, and the black and blue knit also from there. We have a Joann's closing where I live, and was able to score close to $3000.00 (yes that is thousand) dollars worh of patterns, close to 100, for under $15.00, and that included 3 pair of flip flops for my daughter. Where is the extreme couponing show for the sewers/crafters in the world?

I'd be pretty tempted, too.
I have no self control and I find the only way to stop myself from buying fabric is not to go to a place that sells it. :) lol otherwise, watch out!!

HA, I found a BOM this morning that I really like

So I am looking at this thinking HMMMMMM that fabric kit is really CUTE and that THREAD KIT IS REALLY CUTE, now I am sure everyone knows that anyone who has an "Addiction
has at least 9 FQ + the other fabric needed, but I bought the kits anyway, OBTW, I also have tons of PERLE COTTON but those colors were hard to pass up. :)

I have the same addiction, but occassionally I can control it.. then I get the urge again. However, since I now have ababy girl to sew for, my addiction is renewed with a great purpose! :)

I am THAT crazy. I just buy to add to the hoards I already have at home, fold and re-fold, dream about projects and then start all over again.
