The Three Musketeers (Barbie style)

And here they are. . . finally finished! The seven-pieced Halloween costumes. Whew! That was a lot of work. And, on about the 12th of October, I volunteered to make the same costumes for a friend's three daughters. Fun times!
First, here is a look at my inspiration:

And my little musketeers:

The boots are made from duct tape-- it is awesome to work with and fairly durable. I was inspired by this tutorial. The hats ended up turning out pretty well, after several trial and errors! ;0) They were made with very stiff fusible interfacing. I love how they turned out, but I hope not to make another for at least a year.
All in all, a successful Halloween. . . Next year I definitely need to start earlier!

Awesome costumes - will be starting on a pink one soon! The link for the tutorial on the boots is no longer available - do you have another link that gives good instructions on this? Also, how do you make the hat? Thank you for posting the instructions for the rest of the costume, they look very easy to follow! :)

Hi ! My girls are addicted to Barbie & the Three Musketeers, asking to be them for Halloween; even requesting the colors you have used! So in all of my research, I came across this posting.... I have to say... These costumes are AMAZING !!!! I realize that this was posted quite a while ago, but if you are still making them, please let me know the cost.. or, if you still have the tutorial, I am also interested. Thank you SO MUCH !!!
