First came the cutest Easter baskets. I found the pattern on http://www.youcanmakethis.com/. Ummm, ADORABLE!!! Here is how mine turned out:
Then we added some fun clothing items. For the oldest I created this dress. It is a little big on Kira, as it was made for an older girl. I found the idea here and used part of this pattern for the top half and this tutorial for the skirt. VERY fun to make. It did take quite a long time-- but worth it, of course! ;)
Middle child gets-- darling vintage style round-neck top. I LOVE this pattern, again from http://www.youcanmakethis.com/. Her mom picked out the fabric long ago, and I must say, she has great taste in fabric. The button holes were interesting. . . not my favorite thing to do. But not too bad for one of my first times. . .
Baby gets this cute boutique top-- again http://www.youcanmakethis.com/. I love the longer length and the cute bow in the back. Cute, cute, cute! And this one was super easy to make.
And now, for the finale! Mom gets this--
My very first, honest to goodness, pieced, quilted and bound quilt!!!! Yeah! I found the pattern here (super fun site!). I used a jelly roll of Lila Tueller's Soiree line and went to town. I stippled this quilt (if you don't know what that is, see here). Here is a close up:
And let me tell you-- it is time consuming, difficult, crazy and . . . I am addicted! I was so fun, even though it took DAYS!!! And this quilt is only about 55" x 70"! Now, there are many little mistakes in this quilt and I am hoping that you CAN'T see them in the photos (my grandmother would definitely be dissappointed in my mitred corners). But all in all, I am happy with my first actual quilt. Now, I need a vacation!!!! Oh wait! I have promised 4 other people crafty suprises, and another an actual quilt and my girls need new dresses and I need to finish their bedding and my new bedding and fabric boxes for my fabric and . . . well, it's a good thing I LOVE doing this!!!
PS Please forgive my photography skills. I really am trying, but the weather here is not cooperating, and, well, I will keep trying . . .

Hey here's a dumb question....I want to try the dress you made for the baby. How does buying the pattern online work? Would I even be able to do it? You know my pattern reading skills, or lack of.
