melissa from lilac lane is getting ready to release her very first fabric line, and with it she has a few darling patterns. the first is 'BOUNTIFUL, a grocery bag, a gift bag, a lunchbag.'
the next is cute little purse, 'the JOY bag'.
i was lucky enough to be one of her pattern testers on 'the JOY bag.' here is my version--
if you want a copy of melissa's patterns, you can find them here, at quiltwoman.com. or, you can leave me a comment here for a chance to win a copy. . .
in your comment, just tell me which pattern you would prefer and what your sewing plans are for the summer. i will pick a winner next wednesday.
talk to you soon!

Love the bags. I think I would use the grocery bag the most. I would like to make a spider web quilt this summer and try my hand at making a skirt or two.
I hope to win a copy of the pattern
I think I would use the bountiful bag more - but love the cuteness of the joy bag. My summer sewing plans are to work on my girls fall/winter wardrobe and conquer my fear of pants!
I love the Joy Pattern!
Thanks for the chance :D
Love the Joy bag!
Love the Joy bag!
For summer, I've GOT to get some new skirts finished for my oldest daughter, she's outgrowing everything and enjoys wearing pretty skirts!
Thanks for the fun! Hopefully I'll be sewing some Joy bags too. ;)
The bags are all cute but I would like to win the joy bag pattern. My plans for the summer are to garden and hand quilt a quilt in my basement where it will be cool. Thanks for hosting a giveaway.
I love that grocery bag pattern! I have so many sewing plans, starting with quilting all those tops that are stored i my spare bedroom closet.
Hard to choose, but I'd go with the Joy bag first :) Glad you're back! mamalusco at ortelco dot net

I would love the grocery bag!
I have 6 quilt tops to back and quilt and bind by September--that's my goal anyway...
I love both patterns but the bountiful one looks so fun!
Oh I'd love to win a copy of the Joy Bag. It looks so cute! My DD would love it! This summer I am going to get unpacked and organized~ once and for all! And do lots of sewing. ;-) Thanks for the fun!
I'd love to win the joy bag pattern! My plans are sewing some clothing for my children and maybe a bag for me
I would love to win either pattern! Although, I tend to forget my shopping bags at home :-) I have lots of sewing plans for the summer....quilts, hair towels, shopping bags, clothes for my niece and nephew... so many things.
I love the grocery bag...so nice and big!
Love Bountiful! My summer sewing plans... to finish all UFO's!
I would love to make a Joy Bag! This summer...amongst all of the super-duper cute little-girl summer outfits I'll be making, I also plan on trying to learn how to install an invisible zipper!

I like the first pattern better. I'm more "practical" and that seems to suit me. :) for the summer I hope to USE WHAT I HAVE! I need to reorganize my stash and make my girls some clothes and my boys some p.j's. fun. fun!
I love the joy bag. I have a hard-to-fit granddaughter that I will probably be sewing a few clothes for, plus I want to get a start on Christmas gifts.

I love them both but my favourite is the Joy bag!
Congratulations to Melissa!
Tough choice, love both. I guess the Joy Bag! :)
I'd love to win the bountiful pattern.
I would love to have the "bountiful" pattern. Amazing bag. I'll be sewing all summer for my little shop: www.ThePitterPatBoutique.com and for the quilting ministry though my church.
These are such great bags, it's hard to choose just one! I would go with the Bountiful bag though. I imagine them made up in all kinds of beautiful fabrics!
I would go with the joy bag. This is my summer of skirts and will be making skirts and dresses for me and the girls.
Please pick me. I would love to make one of the bags..
The Joy bag is super cute... By the way my girls LOOOOOVED their Can Can Skirts. Thank You so much!
I am planning to sew aprons and baby things, just like I do every summer to sell at the Farmer's Market.
I'd love to learn how to make some simple bags, so BOUNTIFUL would be my pattern of choice.
Have a beautiful weekend!
I would love to win a copy of the Bountiful Bag. This summer I plan on sewing some cute sundresses for my daughter, and hopefully finishing up my son's quilt.
I'd be happy with either pattern. I've started my Christmas gift making and it will take all summer and probably till Christmas Eve!
