S4S- The Basics, Part 1

Giveaway CLOSED!
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
So today kicks off the new series at Brown Paper Packages:

I know, I know-- thinking of school already? It just barely became summer here! But if there is one thing I have learned in my few years of sewing, if you 'fail to plan, you plan to fail.' So while we don't have to look forward to school actually starting, we CAN look forward to the fun projects to get ready, right? ;0)

The first part of the S4S series is 'The Basics.' You know, those things that are just a must, like undies for starters. There is just no getting around it-- you have to have some undies for your little school kid. And I don't know about you, but I very much dislike paying for underwear. No fun! And expensive.

Solution?

Make your own, of course!

A few years ago I found this a pattern from that*darn*kat for making cutie-patootie undies using knit scraps or upcycling old t-shirts.

Hellllooooo?

Genius!

For only a few bucks you can purchase the pdf pattern and use last year's too small school clothes to whip up a few new undies! Perfect. Almost forgot to tell you. . . there is a boy version, too. Can't forget those boys. . . well, all of your boys, that is. ;0)

(Go Jayhawks!)

It gets even better! that*darn*kat is also going to let me give one lucky winner a FREE copy of the pattern! Wahoo!

The details:

* Leave one comment on this post to be entered.
* Make sure I have a way to reach you, should you be the winner.
* Giveaway open until Monday at 12:00 noon (MST).

That's it!

Oh, and be sure to check out that*darn*kat. She has the most adorable round yoke dress and a trendy little purse pattern. So cute!
