The Montague Dress

Another of the fantastically adorable patterns of Leila and Ben, is the Bolero Jacket pattern. And what goes better with a cute little cropped jacket than an a-line dress?

Add a little lace and the outfit is complete!

To complete the dress with the lace underlayer, cut your dress pieces as directed. Also cut two dress pieces out of a lining fabric. Cut the lining pieces 3 inches shorter than the pattern length and the neckline down by 3/4 of an inch. Cut your lace piece approximately 5 inches by 55 inches.

Sew the sideseams on the dress and on the lining. Finish the bottom of the dress with a rolled hem edge or with a hem.

Sew the lace piece into a circle and attach to the bottom of the lining.

With wrong sides together, baste the armholes of the lining and dress together. Sew the underarm seams on the sleeves together and attach the sleeves to the dress. Finish the dress as directed in the pattern.
