This post is part of a month long series called 'Pattern Makeover Month.' I took a simple pattern (The Sweet Dress by Leila and Ben) and 'made-it-over' into many different styles. For more information, go here.

This version of the Sweet Dress was a good idea that didn't really pan out the way I had hoped. Does that ever happen to you? I wasn't sure I would even blog about it, but the pictures turned out pretty cute and the girlies like the dress for whatever reason. . . So here it is. Let it be one of those 'See? I'm human, too. And have plenty of screw-ups to prove it!' moments. ;0)

WHERE DO YOU COME UP WITH ALL THESE??
Seriously, you are my hero!!
I hate it when I mess up. But I have to say that I like this!
Your dress turned out adorably, whether planned or not. I just did a post about crafts-gone-wrong and it turns out there is a whole blog community devoted to hilarious handmades.
The dress looks comfortable and girlie, though most daughters love it when their mother makes them a special dress. Please enter me in your drawing.
Super cute model, you barely even notice the dress :) I see what you mean about it but in the pics it is still cute.
I'd love if you stopped by again this week and linked up to Make it Wear it!
Your little model has some serious 'tude. Love it!
The pictures are adorable. And I think your ratio of incredible successes to one you may not like so much is pretty stinking high!
I really like this dress! It reminds me of a shawl around her shoulders. Gotta go, being nose nudged by a BIG black dog, ha ha!
It is cute! (even if it's not what you planned)
I can't get over ALL of your incredible dresses!!! What inspiration! You rock! Thanks for sharing.
I actually really LIKE this! Maybe not what you had imagined, but cute nonetheless!
I like it!
I think the dress is very cute. And a nice name. Bellingham is only 18 miles from me.
Lacey referred me to your page, (I'm Josh's aunt). I love your creativity and hope to be sewing for my little grandaughters many of these fun little out fits. Thanks for the inspiration. I'd love to win a pattern

I love the fabric in this dress and the neckline is so unusual and sophisticated! Beautiful work!
