Joanie began quilting less than five years ago although she has sewn much of her 51 years. Her first introduction to quilting came while completing a lace sewing project. Looking for answers on the internet to a persistent problem she stumbled upon Jennifer Chiaverini's site as well as a the Quilting Arts Forum at Delphi Groups. All of her quilt education to date has come from the internet and feedback from fellow swappers. She has a quilt on the introduction pages of Jennifer Chiaverini's "Sylvia's Bridal Sampler" quilt pattern book and teaches sampler classes. Hosting block swaps is a joy and the last swap brought in quilters from all over the world with 800 blocks.
