The second giveaway is a darling baby quilt. It is made with Moda's Recess fabric, machine quilted, edged with ric-rac and bound with my favorite Recess fabric! The back is a natural colored muslin. So soft and sweet!
Again, to win this quilt, just leave me a comment about how much you would charge/be willing to pay for a baby quilt just like this. Winner will be picked randomly and announced May 31st.
Sorry, but this giveaway is for US residents only-- a little too big to ship internationally!

I am for sure going to try my luck at winning this quilt! :) I love it. I have seen quilts like this online and they are charging anywhere from $35 on up. So I would say $50 would be my max. I am on a very tight budget you know. :)
I love this quilt too. I am using the same recess from moda to make a coin quilt. I would most likely charge $50.00 for the quilt. Beautiful work!
Love love love this quilt! I'm not sure of the dimensions but I would say at least $50. I would even pay upwards of $75.
I agree that somewhere around $50 would be right. Maybe more if it is oversized. Great fabric choices! Love it!
Your little girl outfit is adorable as well. If I had a little girl to wear it I would be dying for it!
Thanks for hosting such a great giveaway! I would charge about $50-70 for the baby quilt.
This quilt is gorgeous! I really like it! I think that the others are right in saying around $50, but if you could do it for less I think that would serve you well!
I agree with Stephanie. No less than $35 and probably for me no more than $50. I love the fabric you used!
I think I'm in agreeance with most, that $50 would be the most. But it's so cute that you could probably get me a little higher. =)
That quilt is adorable. I'd pay somewhere around $50 for it, maybe a little more depending on the size.
I would charge $55-65 for this depending on how heavily quilted it is (since that is time/labor-intensive). It's beautiful!
I say $50-80 would be fair. Depends on how intricate the quilting is, I suppose. It's adorable, by the way.
Oh what a sweet little quilt! ^_^ Love it! $50 sounds good to me. Actually, I wouldn't have a problem paying more because it's handmade. I know all the work that goes into making these types of pretties. It's so worth it.
I would say $65 for the quilt. It is quite beautiful
The quilt is so cute - I love it. I'd agree with all the others of $50 sounds like a good estimate!
Hi, I appreciate handmade items!
Your baby quilt is delightful.
I would probably pay $50.00 for your quilt. Please enter my name in your drawing. Many thanks, Cindi
jchoppes[at]hotmail[dot]com
I can never find baby quilts that I like, but this one is perfect! I would definitely pay $60 for it. I would love to win this. Good luck with your Etsy shop
I would pay at least 80 for this blankie.
Thanks for the giveaway!
www.craftyheidi.wordpress.com
WOW-- this is just beautiful. Love the binding. I would list this at $50 without batting an eye. Maybe make a coordinating drawstring bag that the quilt can roll up and fit into? Just a little something extra to push you above the pack : )
secretcake (at) yahoo (dot) com
The quilt is beautiful and I agree with many of your other commenters (who probably know better than I do) that $50 would be a good starting point. Would love to win it! Thanks for the giveaway.
jmhamlin826 AT yahoo DOT com
Love it! $50?
addyforrest(at)gmail(dot)com
I would say $35 to $50. It's hard to put a price on your time! Thanks for the chance to win!
I would pay around $50 for this quilt. :)
I love this little quilt! I am a sucker for those colors. Probably around $60 bucks. Quilts are hard work.
beautiful! I would probably pay $50 if I knew, like this one that it was handmade.
I would spend about $50 for a quilt like this. Very cute! Thanks!
This quilt is adorable and I love this fabric. You should be able to charge $65 for this quilt.
I would think that a quilt like this would be upward or seventy to eighty dollars in quilt shops around here. It's gorgeous. The colours!
I love the quilt! I think about $45 would be about right. Thanks!!!!
I agree that the quilt should be about $50 but I would probably only be willing to spend $45 or so. It's only 5 bucks but it's a psychological thing...we all have our threshold and, for me, $50 just sounds like a lot of money but $45 sounds like a deal.
I agree with the $50 range! It is absolutely beautiful!
my baby has a very similiar quilt made by grandma. i would say $50 too. beautiful work!
I would say $50-65 would be reasonable for a baby quilt :) This is adorable btw! I think you should def. open your own Etsy shop. Your very talented!!
http://sevidesigns.com
sevidesigns@yahoo.com
$50 or so, like most of the others said. It really is lovely.
Love the baby quilt. My daughter is expecting her 2nd in December and grandma is hoping for a little girl. A lot of people around here would pay at least 50 for the quilt. It looks very well done and it's hard to put a price on something made with love.
Adorable little quilt. I think that depending on the size and complexity of the quilt, I would price it at around $50.
Again, I'm not a good one to help with pricing since I sew most of my own stuff like this and am not willing to pay someone else to do it! :) I would guess $50-ish would fly.
Oh, that's perfect for a girl or a boy! I'm sure my little man on the way would love snuggling up in this come the fall/winter! I'd probably pay around $60 for this, although depending on the fabrics (rarity, cuteness) I would probably go higher!
I love this - absolutely beautiful and totally gender neutral. I just had a baby girl and am inundated with PINK! Knowing what it takes to piece and quilt something... I'd pay upwards of $75 for that!
Awesome Giveaway!! I adore the little girl set--I have a 4 year old that I have purchased custom clothing for and I have also sold customs--I would pay $65-$75 for that set & would sell in that ball park as well--it's a totally cute set and the fabrics are delish! As far as the quilt, I agree with previous posters--$50 sounds very reasonable--those fabrics are great as well!
I think you should charge at least $50 for a quilt like this (don't under-value your time!), probably closer to $75.
It's always good to look around Etsy to see what similar things are selling for, just make sure to take it all in with a grain of salt!
good luck with your shop, and thanks so much for the super-generous giveaways!!
$50.
Beautiful baby quilt! What a great giveaway. I think about $50 or more. I think someone who doesn't sew would pay a bit more than that for a homemade quilt.
This quilt is just wonderful! I would say you should charge around $50! Thanks for the chance to win!
I agree with most of the other comments - $45 to $50! It's beautiful!
I love this quilt!
My pricing advice is the same: time plus supplies x2 for retail at least, maybe a little less in a really competitive environment. :)
Adorable quilt! I have seen similar size quilts on Etsy for about $50. As someone who makes them, they are WORTH much more. The work it takes and the fact that a child is getting a homemade gift makes something like this much more valuable.
Good luck with your shop!
This quilt would be perfect for the little one joining our family this winter! I'd charge about $45-$50 for it.
I would charge $45 because the number is more appealing to me as a number.
I would pay $40-$50 for the quilt. It's so beautiful, I love the fabric!
I would happily pay $50 for the quilt. You could probably get more than that, though.
I know I don't have a little baby, but to have an original "Sugar n'Spice Creation" BEFORE your shop even opens would be too cool.
I think $55 would be a good price for the baby blanket.
Recess is one of my favorite lines and this baby quilt is so cute! My guess for price is $45-$50.
I say $65. I love it. The colors really pop.
That's hard. My mom makes them, so I don't buy them as a general rule... I would say between $30-50 dollars. I guess it depends on how much money you actually spent, and how much time it took... that would be how I considered something I sell.
Wow that is beautiful! I cannot tell the size, but assuming it is a crib size quilt, I think about $75 sounds right.
Cute baby quilt! I would price it at $50.
SOOO lovely. My hope, if I were a customer, would be between $50-60 dollars for a crib quilt. Thanks for the offer!
That quilt is amazing - worth at least $50. I especially love the ric rac trim.
cute, i love the ric rac and the fabric choice. i'm thinking this would be worth $70 and up! it's so cute
I love the quilt. It's beautiful. I think you should charge over $50 for this quilt. Start closer to $75though. It takes a lot of time to get these quilts done. And the materials are getting more expensive so don't short yourself.
I would say between $35 and $50, no more. Guess it just depends on what someone is looking for.
This quilt is awesome and I'd proably pay around $40.00 it.
{wood (dot) angi (at) gmail (dot) com}
The quilt is beautiful! I'd probably be happy to pay $40-$50 for it, (and I'm cheap!) I know people who would definitely pay $60-$70 for it!
A crib quilt, maybe $50. I small doll quilt, like $25. Very cute one, though.
Wow, this is beautiful! That is so generous of you to giveaway a quilt! I would probably pay around $75 for this handmade item. Would love to win it! Thanks!
This is precious. I honestly have no idea how much one should charge for a quilt like this.
I'm not sure what I would pay, I suppose around $50. I do know that whatever you charge wouldn't compensate the quilter for the time spent sewing. That's why I don't charge for my time when I make something. I enjoy sewing so much that I charge what I think someone can afford and that is fine with me. I really love Snippets fabric, your little quilt is adorable. I would very much like to win this quilt and if I did I would treasure it.
I would say it is worth about $45. Again, calculate material and time...
Thanks again for another chance to win! And for being so generous!
Yehudim(at)aol(dot)com
Love the colors of this quilt! So beautiful. $40 perhaps?
øoh! Wonderful quilt.
Can you do a picture quilt, do you have the ability to create that?
I would pay $50-60
Depending how large it is.

I think between $50-$75 is fair. Depends on the exact size. It's really nice!
Lovely quilt. I would say between 40 and 50 dollars.
Oh what a beautiful little quilt!!
This quilt is GORGEOUS. I just finished my first quilt, and I know how much work it is! I'd say $75 easy.
Ooh the pricing issue is tough for me too. Make sure you're getting paid enough for your time, though.
I think quilts are worth a lot ... lots of time and lots of love go into them! I would charge at least $75 for it.
Jennifer

I love, love,love the quilt!!
I would also say $50.00.
Thanks foir the chance to win. :)
I love that quilt! It's beautiful. I think $40-50 would be very reasonable.
A beautiful quilt that looks vintage - not really garish colors, totally beautiful! $50-75 sounds right, I think it also depends how much time you put into it... ~H
I think $50 max. I love it. I think you could start with $35. Looks great. Good luck to you!
I love this quilt - the patchwork is really beautifully done.
Pricing is so tricky - it would help to know the exact dimensions, and what kind of filler it has (more for cotton/organic, less for polyester). but definitely in the 40-75 range.
good luck with your shop!
I've never made a quilt or bought a quilt, so my number might be off, but this one looks REALLY cute! I'd say $65
Thanks for the opportunity!
I would pay around $75 for it. I made quilts too and I know how much work and love you put into each one.
Love the quilt, I'd pay $35-40 for it. But I know people who would buy it for me who would easily pay $60ish.
I just love this! I love the colors! I would definitely say $40-$50 for this. Lovely!
josilva3(at)yahoo(dot)com
Very nice! I'm with most of the other posters - $35-$50 is what I'd pay. Thanks!
I'd price it at about $60 if I made it for my etsy shop, but then, maybe that's high because my quilts don't sell very fast.
It's really beautiful though and would be lovely for my babies to snuggle with.
I am so completely in love with this quilt -- it's gorgeous! I think I'd pay $75-100 for this quilt -- it's handmade and lovely!
I wouldn't pay more than maybe $35, but that's b/c I'm cheap! I think it's probably worth $50.
So lovely!
parknj at verizon dot net
I'd say about $40.
mom0ja@yahoo.com
Beautiful! Quilts are a hard market... they never go for what they're worth... they're always under priced in my opinion but even then ou don't always have luck selling them. If it were me, I'd price it at $55
I love this quilt, too! I would charge $30-$40, depending on the time you put into it. Thanks for the entry!
I say $40.00 as now but could be 50 tops! Congrats on the SHOP
Oh wow, I would pay at least $40 to $50. You do beautiful work.
I love this line soooo much! I'd say you could easily charge $50-$60 range. Check out what other people have theirs priced at.
The quilt is so cute. I would say $35 - $50 on the price.
I absolutely adore this! I guess it would depend on the fabrics for me as far as price is concerned. With higher end fabrics I would think somewhere from $65 to $80 would be reasonable. With more middle of the road fabric or maybe a mix of some high end I would think $35 to $50. If you could keep it in the $35 range I would buy one without a second thought. Thanks for the chance to win one :)
I'd have to say $75 - lots of fabric, time, and work go into quilts. One pricing article I read gave $13 - $15 per square foot as a starting price for a handmade quilt.
I'm not very lucky when it comes to drawings but I'll try my luck!
Beautiful quilt! I've seen similar items going for $65 - $150. It all depends on the amount of work you put in and the cost of your materials. I have some quilts about this size in my shop that I sell for $65 and $75.
Beautiful workmanship!
Thanks for the chance to enter!

I absolutely love that quilt!!! I'd probably pay somewhere between $40 and $60 for that. So cute!!
I would sell that for around $60.00 I mean its hard work!
aaron.dez(at)gmail(dot)com
Gorgeous quilt! It's so much fun! I would say - charge around $40-50.
This is awesome! I agree with some of the other posts... I would charge $50 for it or a little less if you are feeling generous. You spent time and money on this beauty and people should be willing to pay the money for it, especially if they want a genuine quilt and not just some machine produced quilt from some manufacturer.
Thanks for the giveaway!
Cassie
cmdoduck(at)gmail(dot)com
I feel like it's impossible to charge as much as a quilt is worth - people are so spoiled by big box stores. It's so much work and love! I would say $50-75.
$35 - $80 depending on the quality of the fabrics and the workmanship. Also, suggest showing the back and making it as cute as the front or blending with the front, instead of muslin.
Nice quilt! I would buy it for around $50 which makes it a great giveaway, thanks for the opportunity!
I would guess about $50. It is gorgeous, btw! I'm having a giveaway too. :)
Thanks for the great blog! I love the quilt. I have seen quilts a smaller than this listed for $100, but I have not found any quilt this size that I would be willing to pay that much! $50 is a good price, great for a special baby gift!
That is beautiful! I would probably charge somewhere around $50, though I'm sure you could get more!
i guess if i was making it...and it is beautiful, i love that fabric...i would be willing to charge 50-75 for it
How beautiful!!! I would say around $50.
I love the Modas! I would charge $45....it just sounds so much "cheaper" than $50.
Beautiful quilt... I love it! I know how much love and work goes into handmade quilts, and they're so very special because of that! I would say $60-75 would be a good price. Thanks for the fabulous giveaway!
Hope you'll check out my giveaway: http://boriginals.blogspot.com
That quilt is so gorgeous. I love it. I would pay around $40 - $60 for it. I really like your choice of fabrics!! It is so great.
This is absolutely beautiful!
I would say it should be at least $40.
I would say $50-$65! You are so talented. I would love to win it!
heathervanhoof[at]yahoo[dot]com
This is such a generous giveaway! I also agree--right around $50, give or take $10-15, seems right to me.
Baby quilt? Wow, a lot of work. Umm, you never really make all the effort, time, love, out of something that you've put into it. Maybe $50-60?
I LOVE this quilt and I think my baby boy would too!! Please click here www.jonasandmelissa.blogspot.com to check out those baby blues! He sure would love to show it off on our blog.... :)
I would pay $50 for it.
It's so cute. I'd pay $35-$45... very very cute! Sweet work lady!
Em
how fun!! I like your site- I am cheap so $30

I have two pregnant friends... and I'm sure I'll have to host a giveaway, because they will both want this great baby quilt!!
Thanks for the opportunity, and cheers from Barcelona :-D

I would also say @50. But do your research on etsy to see what others are selling them for...
Thanks for the chance to win!

Beautiful! Easily $50 for your lovely quilt.
Denise
for a baby quilt, I would pay $40.
It seems like most people think about $50 - and that's what I was thinking too!
It's beautiful!
I love the quilt! I don't know how much I'd pay, or charge, but I've seen similar ones in the $40 to $50 price range.
It's so hard to guess how much to charge for works of art. When I'm the one making it I tend to want to charge a lot. Of course if I'm the one buying it, I would want a good deal.
So, if I saw this in a boutique I would expect to see a price of about $65 on it. Honestly, I wouldn't pay that price because I'm a cheapskate and know that I could make it for less than that.
Did I just make sense?
I would say it would be in the $35-50 range-great work by the way!
micaela6955 at msn dot com
I'd say around $40. It is beautiful.
I have no idea on pricing - I struggle with it myself.
Please enter me in the draw, and don't forget to enter mine. :)
To buy a handmade quilt I would pay $60 for a baby size.
I think I'm going to win!
pjjllive(at)gmail(dot)com
Very beautiful! Again, I am terrible at pricing, but for your time, I'd charge at least $50- $75 for it. Good luck in your new business adventure!
$40-$50? The colors are fabulous!
This is a beautiful quilt! I would love to be able to call it mine! I have a hard time figuring prices too, but I think probably $50. Thanks for the great giveaway!
I love this quilt, it would be great to snuggle with my little ones! I would probably charge $50 for it.
Beautiful quilt! You could probably charge 40-50 dollars for it...
I would love to win this quilt - $60 I would price it at - think of all the effort to cut each square and piece them together...plus the thought of the pattern with color and print balance...supplies and your time. Yup - $60. Beautiful...
thanks for the opp to win it!
catherine s.
Pricing is so hard! If this was marketed to non-sewers (ie, in a "Big Name" retail shop), you could easily price it $75 (especially if you made the back with some piecing as well). But to other sewers, you're probably looking at $50 even though we all know how much work it takes to make even a small quilt. Good luck with your shop...you do beautiful work!
I am going to comment anyway. Just don't count me in the give away hehe!!! I honestly don't know how you can put all that time into a quilt then sell it or give it away... it's a work of art!! Well done I am jealous!!
xo Steph
I have never sold anything like this, but considering the work, I would charge about $50.
Hi there,
I am Canadian but have an American address...can I still play? I just NEED this quilt! Oh my it's beautiful.
Baby quilts on etsy can range in price I've noted. But it depends I think on how "boutiquey" they look.
Here in Canada you would see something like this for probably $75.
but on Etsy, in American $$ I think you'd be in the right range of $45-$65
you can check out this etsy shop--she sells alot of baby quilts/custom orders etc.
I would compare your work to hers and "see"...
http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5237036&ga_search_query=loftcreations&ga_search_type=seller_usernames
I would agree with the others between $35-50. It is beautiful. Thanks for the chance to win.
I would suggest about $60
I think $40-50 sounds reasonalbe, but you could probably get more for it! What a generous giveaway!!!!
What a fabulous quilt! I think you could charge about $50 for it. I think you could charge more in a boutique, though. Probably $75 or so. Good luck! And thanks for the great giveaway!
So sweet! I would charge about 40 again, any more and people will probably balk. Not that it's not worth way more.
I am also trying to figure this etsy thing out. But I would imagine anywhere from $35-40. I would pay that.
That baby quilt is so sweet and cute. I have never quilted before, but I know that it must be pretty time consuming, so it's hard to gauge pricing something like that to match the time spent. It is a baby quilt though, so it is smaller. However, if I was planning on getting a baby quilt to give as a shower gift, I would easily spend $50-60 on it. Handmade items are so special, and something like that would be a treasure item.
oh that is so sweet! I love the baby quilt. I have several pregnant friends and a neice and nephew who go far too long between hand made gifts from their aunt.
If that blanket was custom made for me - I would expect pay to several hundred dollars just for labor - not to mention the fabric. seriously - that is a lot of work. Added bonus of helping support an independent crafter!
I guess the dimensions of the quilt would help a bit, but it certainly is sweet...and the right packaging may bump up the price a smidge...$60 would be my limit I guess if its a nice size. It certainly is nice and BEST luck with your own etsy store.
Jenny
KRousegirl2@aol.com
I would pay anywhere between $50-75 depending on the size of the quilt.
This is such beautiful work with well chosen fabrics :)
Thanks for the opportunity! Megan
http://www.apiarydesigns.etsy.com
I would say between 35 and 65 dollars would be reasonable. Again not knowing the size makes it hard to guess. It is lovely though!
I'm thinking $40-$45 for the quilt?
Hugs & Blessings!
what a great quilt!!
we'll have a new little one soon and that would be great to have.
i am thinking $40-$50 for that.
make sure you charge enough that it is worth your time.
fabulous job! :)
I would say around $30 depending on size and fabric used.
I've seen baby quilts range between $50-75 and seemed reasonable but...
Factor in how much time it takes, PAY YOURSELF an honest hourly wage when pricing. I've seen many people burn out super fast because they weren't being compensated for their time! They would short themselves in the short run and paid for it in the long run :(
I bought a baby quilt for my daughter on ebay for really cheap like $25. I'd say anywhere from $25 - 60 for it depending on size & cost, etc
I've been thinking about making a quilt, myself - but with 3 kiddies under 5, maybe trying to win one would be easier. ;)
I love the quilt! I think $50.00 is about what I'd pay. It's hard because I don't price many quilts but I know the time they take to make. The ric-rac is really a cute touch!
Thanks for the great giveaway!
Quilts are tricky - it really depends on where you sell them. If you were selling this at a quilt sale or somewhere like that, you could charge $80+ for it, whereas I would say on Etsy you could probably charge $50+, depending on how much time & money went into it.
If I happen to win, please just leave me a comment on my blog letting me know. Thanks again!
I would say between $50-$60...quilters work hard!
jmoore3333(at)gmail(dot)com
this quilt is gorgeous!! $65 came to mind right away. thanks for the incredibly generous offerings! ;)
It's so pretty! I think between $60 and $70.
Beautiful job. I agree with $50-75 for this quilt
I would charge $45 for such a beautiful quilt. But I'm also a "priced to move" person..
$30-$40 at least is what i would expect to see this go for!
it's lovely!
thanks,
Kim
(ksknitchic@yahoo.com)
Quilts are a lot of work - even ones that are little. Charge $50 at the least! Plus, yours is great. I love the colors.
would pay 50-60 dollars for a quilt like that, it is beautiful and cheery!
I agree with many of the other posts. $50 would be a good starting point. Depending on where you were selling them you could even go higher. At a fair or something like that I would stay around 40-50 but in a speciality botique you could go much higher.
oh, lovely! baby #2 is on the way - i love the colors of this quilt, so fun, energetic. let's see - i think $40-$55 would be a great price point range for this fancy, fun little number! again, as a photographer, i can't help but visualize this with darling little babies at a photo shoot!
camille
camilledawnphoto AT gmail DOT com
Love it! I think that $50-$60 would be very reasonable, depending on the exact size!
Like every one else, I think that $50 would be about right.
What a beautiful quilt--love the colors and 'feel' of it! You're right, I would struggle with pricing things also -- it's hard to reflect all the time and energy put into a quilt along with the price of the fabrics, batting, thread... in this economy, if you could do it for less than $50, you would at least get a "fan base" and then as you build up your shop, you can adjust per demand...
Oh how wonderful. You da bomb!!! This quilt would be awesome to have on hand. I can't keep up with all the babies being born into my life. I would charge around $50+. If you hand quilted it, you should charge more.
Good luck to you and your new endeavors. I hope it works out for you. Take care.
you have great taste! i love the colors - so bright and cheery! i too would pay around $50-$55 for something like this. thank you so much for sharing!
christinaleigh1@gmail.com
I think 40 to 50 dollars would be reasonable (I'm assuming the quilt is about receiving blanket-sized). Its really darling!
I hope I am not too late! I love this fabric, but haven't been able to make anything, but you could easily charge $40 or $50 bucks.
I would say $35-$50. It is absolutely ADORABLE. I think it's one of the cutest quilts I've ever seen!
Maybe I'm in the nick of time as it's still 5/31. Anyway, I'd LOVE to win the baby quilt. I'd say $50.
Oh boy, I don't know the going rate for quilts, but this is just beautiful!! I would pay $50 - $60 plus shipping ($8 or so). thanks again for another great giveaway!
